Preserving over one-half of the 124 acre Project site as open space St. Michael’s Abbey is unlike any other residential or commercial projects. The project’s central objectives include being part of a pastoral landscape and complement the rural character of the area. The mandates of living a simple and quiet life, being close to nature, and celebrating the end of the day with silence are ingrained in the Norbertine’s religious order. The site is surrounded on three sides by mountains. It is framed and enveloped by native plantings, orchards, gardens, and walkways intended to promote a bucolic way of life reflective of the Norbertine’s intent to be close to nature.
