The Ortega Gateway project is a new development in the historic district of San Juan Capistrano. The design of the project is inspired by the city’s rich history, and incorporates elements such as native cobble, citrus orchards, and rustic Mediterranean planting to reflect the local culture and landscape. The goal of the project is to create a sense of place and connection to the community throughout the day and night. When the sun sets high tech LED lighting begins to glow along the stone walls creating a wholly unique evening experience. The use of local materials and traditional design elements will help to preserve the historical character of the area and create a welcoming arrival to San Juan Capistrano
