At Tesoro Viejo, we designed Rosie’s Greenway to expand the role of Rosie’s Place beyond a dog park and into a flexible community landscape. The greenway runs along both sides of the park, creating a continuous pedestrian connection while framing open space for everyday use. A shaded, tree-lined path anchors the experience, with swing benches placed to encourage pause and interaction along the walk.

We organized the adjacent lawns to support multiple activities, from informal picnics to casual play, and integrated picnic tables with generous spacing to keep the area open and adaptable. Around the corner, we sited a small soccer field to give kids a dedicated place to run and play without overwhelming the quieter spaces. The surrounding open lawn was designed as a soft transition, supporting everything from a game of catch to relaxed neighborhood gatherings. Together, the greenway and park extend Tesoro Viejo’s open space network with a clear focus on walkability, flexibility, and daily community life.
