Respectful. If we could only choose one word to describe Sierra Bloom that would be it. Residing entirely on the Sovereign Nation of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) in Scottsdale Arizona, Sierra Bloom embraces its residents, site, neighbors, and history with such intentionality and dignity. The architecture and landscape work together to root the state-of-the-art facility to the ways and values of the (SRPMIC).
The intricate basket weave landscape patterns of the Pima showcases the Sonoran desert plants, uses rainwater capture to create ephemeral streams, and eludes to the historical agricultural canals through the design of the entry and courtyard fountains. Loop walkways for cool evening strolls and deeply shaded outdoor living spaces give residents opportunities to enjoy the ancient landscape they love.
The Land Concern team thoroughly enjoyed developing the project concepts for the Griffin Fine Living team and getting the stamp of approval from the SRPMIC architectural review board. Our favorite feature is the memory care garden with a patio that includes a classic car and themed entertainment space from the era of the resident’s prime.
