3000 The Plaza is a luxury high rise condominium located in Irvine. One of the primary challenges of this project was to create a unique entrance experience for residents – distinguishing the community from other adjacent high rise condominiums – while also enhancing the curb appeal of the Jamboree Road frontage.
The plant palette, chosen for its conservative use of water, consisted of a variety of drought-friendly species, as well as the existing date palms in the area that were carefully preserved. In addition to serving a very specific and thoughtful purpose, the palette provides a number of textures that give it a beautiful, seasonal appearance.
Communicating these details and our overall vision for the landscape design to a diverse audience of HOA members required plans and graphics that were vibrant and attractive, but also clear and easily understood by a wide group of people. We delivered our detailed plans using 3D models, which allowed our team to clearly showcase both small and large scale design elements.
Land Concern was pleased to incorporate a number of great products that provided an upgraded and luxury finish to the overall design. Belgard pavers and matching tactile warning pavers made a great visual impact at the drop-off and walkways. Tournesol Siteworks supplied the project with the planters in a corten-like finish. Finally, ID Metalco, which carries a great line of site furnishings, provided the illuminated bollard at the separation between walkways and vehicular drop-off. All elements, though very diverse, came together to create a distinct and refined entrance for this luxury community.
